Mid-Century Modern Turned Wood Shakers
Beautiful set of turned wood tall table shakers. The wood is light-weight and soft. The grain appears to be oak, but the tell-tale sign of teakwood (reddish color) can be seen on the base of one shaker where a tiny piece has slivered off. They really do look like stained oak, but we are certain it is not oak. Another possiblility could be ‘redwood’, but again, this wood is very light-weight.
Masterfully done by hand and machine. Topped with mushroom caps. In beautiful condition, still rich in color and no scratching or staining. A small bump at the base is present but not noticeable. They appear unused.
Each measures 7.75” tall. Circa 1960s.
